What is a Helix and how do I tell if it is wrong?

 

 

These photos below show different types of helixes on the Genesis Tillage roller assemblies.

Longer roller (on left) is right hand helix.  Shorter roller (on right) is left hand helix.

Right hand helix on Genesis 3-tine roller.  Suggested for rocky soils.

Three tine roller also more effective in hard soils with reduced ballast requirement.


Genesis Tillage 4-tine roller - uniform, tandem helix design provides equal spacing between entering tines.


Aerway™ 27deg 4-tine roller helix is source of major vibration to frame and tractor.  Increased ballasting is required for penetration.
