CSI Residential Water
Softeners are designed to
reduce the negative effects of hard water (calcium and magnesium
minerals). Examples of these effects are calcium / magnesium build-up and
spotting of fixtures, increased soap and detergent usage, soap scum
build-up and a 20% to 30% increase in energy consumption to heat water,
just to name a few.
CSI Water
Softeners are manufactured
from the finest components available and include such amenities as bypass
valves, 3/4" FNPT Nickel Plated Brass Yoke Connections, 18" x 33" Round
Brine Tanks, Salt Grid Plates, Safety Floats, Brine Well and Caps and
Safety Overflow Fittings.
Available in the
appliance like cabinet style or the more popular two-tank model,
regeneration is precisely controlled by the reliable Fleck 5600 or 2510
Control Valve. Optional Control Valves available include the Fleck 5600SE
Electronic, 2510 Manual and Autotrol 255. All control valves offered are
available in either timeclock or demand versions.
All units are
available with standard 1" riser type distributors or turbulators, which
provide a rigorous backwash during regeneration.

Alternating Twin Water
Softeners |
|

|
CSI Alternating Twin Water Softeners are the
Cadillac of the softening industry.
Utilizing the Fleck 9000
Control Valve, this versatile model softens water through one resin tank
while a second resin tank remains in a stand-by mode. When the integral
water meter indicates a need to regenerate, the stand-by tank
automatically is put on line to provide uninterrupted soft water while the
exhausted resin tank is regenerated. This freshly regenerated tank will
then remain in stand-by until the meter triggers another regeneration.
Most standard control valves are designed to bypass untreated water to the
home during the regeneration cycle. This is why conventional softeners are
programmed to regenerate at times of no water usage (usually at
night).
The Alternating Twin Softener from CSI can
regenerate anytime, day or night, without hard water breakthrough. And
because soft water is always available, regeneration is accomplished with
treated water, keeping the resin bed cleaner than conventional softeners.
All units are available with standard 1" riser type distributors or
turbulators, which provide a rigorous backwash during regeneration. A
bypass valve with 3/4" FNPT Nickel Plated Brass Yoke Connection along with
18" x 33" Brine Tank, Salt Grid Plate, Safety Float, Brine Well and Cap
and Safety Overflow Fitting is included as standard
equipment.
Options available include 1" N.P. Brass Yoke
Connections, 3/4" and 1" MNPT Plastic Yoke Connections, 18" x 40" Round
and 11" x 11" Square Brine Tanks.
Softening capacities range from
24,000 to 96,000 grains with flow rates from 8 gpm to 14 gpm.

The REACTRÔ
Water Treatment System |
|

|
CSI Water Treatment
Systems reintroduces air
injection technology with an innovative new approach for the
chemical free treatment of iron, manganese and sulfur gas -
The REACTRÔ. Several new ideas
are incorporated in The REACTRÔ Water Treatment
System. Air injection and free air venting are accomplished through a
common manifold assembly which simplifies installation and service. The
REACTRÔ Manifold Assembly is
mounted on a large air mixing tank that triples the amount of air contact
and exposure time. A full 1" inlet and outlet is provided to install the
REACTR Ô Tank between the well
pump and pressure tank. This exposes The REACTRÔ Tank to full pump
flow for increased air draw, air mixing and reduced plugging problems.
Oxidized contaminants then enter The REACTRÔ Filter where they
are removed by The REACTRÔ Filter. The
REACTRÔ Filter is
automatically maintained by the Fleck 2510 Control Valve that provides the
advantages of adjustable cycle times and high backwash flow capability in
a non-brass valve. Bypass Valve, 3/4" Nickel Plated FNPT Yoke Connections
and 1" Distributor Tubes are standard equipment. Optional 1" N.P. Brass
Yokes, 3/4" and 1" MNPT Plastic Yokes and Dome Fill Holes are
available.
The
OXYCLEANÔ Automatic Cleansing
System is an optional piece
of equipment to enhance the operating performance of the
REACTRÔ System. Situations
that are normally tough to handle and require a high level of maintenance
can now be solved with the OXYCLEANÔ Cleansing
System.
Plugged pipes and
fouled media beds can be the result of low levels of iron or sulfur
bacteria, tannins and high levels of ferric iron. Many times these
situations require a messy, time consuming service call.
Installed in minutes,
The OXYCLEANÔ System will
automatically inject chlorine during every backwash cycle to clean the
entire REACTRÔ and associated
plumbing.
Every
REACTRÔ System built has the
optional OXYCLEANÔ in mind,
installation is easy and can be done during or after installation of the
REACTRÔ without any changes
to the plumbing or electrical wiring.

 CTA-3
|
Reverse Osmosis
(R.O.) is one of the most convenient and economical methods of reducing
unwanted contaminants in your drinking water. Reverse Osmosis is the
process by which water molecules are forced, by water pressure, through a
semi-permeable membrane. Most of the impurities and other contaminants are
rinsed to the drain while the refined water is routed to a special holding
tank.
The
Microline® CTA-3 & TFC-3 Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water
Systems use the latest advances in plastics technology to produce the most
streamlined and user friendly R.O. system on the market. What sets the
Microline® apart from other systems is its patented design.
Injection molded from FDA compliant materials, the system directs the flow
of the water through each filtration step without the need for tubes or
fittings. This design also contains major component parts like the water
saving automatic shut-off, drain control and safety check valve, making it
easy to maintain and service.
Another
Microline® innovation is its patented membrane seal. This
feature makes membrane replacement a snap without the need for tools.
Microline® Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water Systems are validated
by the National Sanitation Foundation under Standard 58, Water Quality
Association (WQA) under Industry Standard S-300-91and by the state of
Wisconsin’s Department of Industry, Labor and Human Relations. Let
Microline® provide the quality water you deserve - you’ll taste
the difference.

Nitrate /
Sulfate Systems
|
|

|
CSI Nitrate / Sulfate
Systems are specially
engineered to reduce both nitrates and sulfates in water supplies. Serious
health problems can result for infants under the age of six months if
water containing nitrates is consumed. Animals such as horses, cattle and
sheep can be adversely affected, also.
Nitrate concentration
over 10 mg/l should be treated according to the EPA Safe Drinking Water
Standards.
CSI Nitrate / Sulfate
Systems are designed to
treat all of the incoming water to the home. Utilizing a
special nitrate selective resin, nitrate levels up to 100 mg/l can be
drastically reduced. Standard water softener salt is used to regenerate
the system, so maintenance is minimal.
CSI Nitrate / Sulfate
Systems will also reduce
sulfate levels, which can give the water a medicinal taste and have a
laxative effect on humans.
All systems are
manufactured from the finest components available and include bypass
valves, 3/4" FNPT Nickel Plated Brass Yoke Connections, 1" Distributors,
18" x 33" Round Brine Tanks with salt grid plate, Brine Well and Cap,
Safety Float and Overflow Fittings.
Options available
include 1" FNPT N.P. Brass Yoke Connections, 3/4" and 1" MNPT Plastic Yoke
Connections, 18" x 40" Round and 11" x 11" Square Brine Tanks.

Tannin / Hardness
Systems |
 |
CSI Tannin / Hardness
Systems are designed to
reduce the negative effects of both tannins and hardness. Tannins can
cause a yellow to almost iced tea color to the water. Though
harmless, tannins can cause problem staining of fixtures and laundry.
Hardness (calcium and magnesium minerals) can build up in the hot water
plumbing system, create soap curd (soap scum) and increase energy
consumption when heating water.
CSI Tannin / Hardness
Systems utilize a special
tannin resin and softening resin combined in one tank to reduce these
negative effects and because the system uses standard water softener salt
to regenerate, maintenance is minimal.
CSI Tannin / Hardness
Systems include Bypass
Valves, 3/4" FNPT Nickel Plated Brass Yoke Connection, 1" Distributor, 18"
x 33" Brine Tank with Salt Grid Plate, Brine Well and Cap, Safety Float
and Overflow Fitting as standard equipment. Optional 1" FNPT N.P. Brass
